Vision247 announces the addition of DW to VisionTV

London, 9 February 2016 – Broadcast specialist Vision247 today announces the addition of Deutsche Welle’s (DW) English TV channel to its VisionTV service. VisionTV is the first IPTV service to host DW since its launch in June 2015. The channel is available with immediate effect on Freeview channel 244 on TV, desktop, EETV and via the VisionTV UK app.
DW will provide news, information and analysis of German and European topics to the 11 million UK Freeview users as well as those with EETV and the recently launched VisionTV UK app for smartphones and tablets.
Deutsche Welle (DW) is Germany's international broadcaster and a trusted source for reliable, news and information with content in 30 languages. The flagship channel DW provides analysis and insights to viewers around the globe, reporting on important issues in English 24/7. With continuous news reports, special features and talk shows covering everything from business, science and politics to culture and sports, DW brings people closer to what matters most – made in Germany, made for minds. VisionTV will be the only IPTV service to broadcast the channel in the UK.
VisionTV consists of more than 20 free-to-air channels, delivering a wide variety of both UK and international programming covering entertainment, sport, news, religion and shopping. VisionTV is the only portal on Freeview that aggregates multiple channels on one channel number.
DW joins VisionTV’s varied international news offering, which includes France24 (France), CCTV (China), TVC News (Nigeria), ABP News (India) and BON (Chinese business and travel news).
